Elizabeth Reed was born in 1785 in Horsmonden, Kent. She married William Botten on 3 June 1805 in Lamberhurst, Kent. They had ten children in 20 years. She died on 14 September 1839 in Brenchley, Kent, at the age of 54.

The service was conducted by Reverend Henry Morland. Both signed the register, and the witnesses were George Shaw (husband of William's sister Hannah) and Sarah Greagsbey.[2]
Died: She died in Sep 1839 and was buried 14 Sep 1839 at All Saints' Churchyard, Brenchley. The cause of death being shown as dropsy. William was the informant and is recorded as the husband and inmate; he signed the register with his mark. [3]
