Biography

Addie was born to Homer Reed. and Margaret Emma Fobes about 1867.

In 1870, Homer and M. Emma Reed lived in Bule Rapids (Marshall County) Kansas with children Ada R and Archie M.[1]

In 1880, Homer and Addie Reed lived in Blue Rapids (Saunders County) Kansas with children Elizabeth, Addie and George. [Note: it appears the ages of Elizabeth and Addie were transposed by the census taker][2]

In 1885, Homer and Emma appeared in the Kansas census of Blue Rapids Township, with children Addie, Bessie C. and George.[3]

In 1887, she married Walter C Short in Marshall County, Kansas on March 2, 1887.[4][5]

By 1900, Walter and Addie Reed had moved to Los Angeles, and had three daughters, Ruby, Marguarite and Pauline.[8]

In 1910, Walter and Addie Short lived in Los Angeles, California with daughters Marguarite and Pauline.[9] Both daughters had moved out by 1920.[10]

She passed away in 1921.[11][12][13]
