Biography

James Reed was born 27 Apr 1817, Vigo County, Indiana. He is a son of Hamilton Reed and Rebecca Pound. [1] "Said to be first white male child born in Vigo County, Indiana." [1]

He married Mary Thomas, 29 Aug 1839. [1]

James passed away 13 May 1903, [1] Lafayette Township, Ogle County, Illinois. He is buried in the Washington Grove Cemetery, Chana, Ogle County, Illinois. [1] [2]
