Communication Preferences: I am interested in communicating private message with anyone who shares the same genealogical or historical interests. My family tree is on another website.
I'm afraid I'm of little help outside of a narrow swath of New England. I've become increasingly interested in cluster genealogy-especially church membership and developing a greater awareness of the local history of Black and Indigenous people. I'm working on a genealogy project involving families of Westminster, Massachusetts who were buried in Woodside Cemetery.

5 Nov 2023 Lately I've been alternating between filling in descendants of generation 4-6 with filling in descendants of generations 7-10. That is to say, alternating working within my CC7 and filling in connections and sources for my 17th and 18th century ancestors. My participation may be sporadic at times due to other responsibilities and interests.

Central to the image is a twisting and turning rabbit hole. Waving out of the top of the hole are two pairs of legs — quite obviously belonging to genealogical researchers who have dived in head-first. To the left of the hole—presumably on the ground above it—are four rabbits, laughing fit to cry; and to the right are another two rabbits, also laughing fit to cry. The words "rabbits laugh at researchers" surround the rabbits, legs, and hole, indicating just how often said researchers get lost in the twists and turns of so-called "rabbit holes" of research. Hi, the US Civil War Project is conducting a Check-in for 2024 to see if your still interested/active in the Project.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you. You can click the reply button or message me with your answer. Thank you. Pam Kreutzer, Leader of the US Civil War Project

Hi Pam, I'm still working on adding stickers, categories, and links to records of Civil War Soldiers as I come across them. I haven't yet participated in any focused goal such as improving/creating profiles for an entire unit. My most recent contributions to the US Civil War Project were on the profile of Elisha A Bruce-10924.

Thanks so much for being part of the Toddlin' Tortoises Team for the April 2023 Source-a-Thon. Every source or citation verifying the information on a profile, helps make for a healthier Tree!
Hertyl and Spertyl Slowsky Tortoises face each other, with a large gold winner's tro-phy between them. Beneath the adult Tortoises are the baby Slowsky twins, Liddyll, and Iddyll, holding the words "Wonderful WikiTreer" between them, and behind the phrase, su-perimposed upon the trophy, is the WikiTree DNA globe icon. Beneath the entire tableau is the phrase "We're all winners in the end".

It's time for the One Place Studies Project Check-In!

We've put together a survey for you to fill out to check in with you, it will only take a moment as there are only a few questions. Filling out the survey lets us know you are still interested in coordinating your study and provides an opportunity for you to share any suggestions you may have for the project.

If you have decided to step away from your study, please reply to this comment to that effect.

Thank you so much for signing up with the Toddlin' Tortoises in the January 2023 Connect-a-Thon. We may be slower than many, but we are all still winners!
Hertyl and Spertyl Slowsky Tortoises face each other, with the words “Toddlin’ Tortoises” above their heads, the words “think everyone is a” below that. Beneath that, and between Hertyl and Spertyl is the WikiTree globe — superimposed with the words "Wonderful WikiTreer" — and beneath the entire tableau are the words "and that We're all winners in the end". Because we are. Winners.

Anonymous, thanks so much for being part of the Toddlin' Tortoises Team for the July 2022 Connect-a-Thon. Every well-constructed profile added helps to grow a healthier Tree!

Two tortoises, Hertyl and Spertyl, dressed in their spiffy Connect-a-Thon Tuxedo coats, the one on the left holding a top hat in "hand", and the one on the right with a glass of champagne. Between them is a multi-carriage wood or coal burning steam train, near the wheels of which are the words "slow train". Above the train is the WikiTree DNA tree logo, across which are the words "Wonderful WikiTreer". Floating above the logo are the words "Toddlin' Tortoises", and at the bottom of the image is the phrase "We're all winners in the end" — because we are. All winners.
Hertyl and Spertyl just want to say: "What a Wonderful WikiTreer you are".

Thank you for contributing to the March 2022 Sourcerers Challenge! As you know, every source added to an unsourced profile improves our One Tree. Thank you for taking time from your own family history to help others.

Hello Anonymous,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Greetings from one of your 12th cousins ;) Not that I had heard of Agnes (Unknown) Hosmer (abt.1545-1614) before . We have 32 ancestors in common so we are both well connected to the tree.

We seem to be connected more closely but by marriage through our New England Colonial forebears on the Upham Whittemore line https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:Connection&action=connect&person1Name=Champion_de_Crespigny-8&person2Name=Reed-28962&relation=0&ignoreIds=

Regards Anne Australia

I plan on dedicating most of my genealogy time over the next few weeks to studying style guides, categories, and stickers. Feel free to contact me through private message if you have any questions or comments regarding my profiles or posts.

Hi,

We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.

Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.

Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.

Hi,

First check Membership to upgrade and we'll send links for other information. It sounds like you have great sources and family to add. There is a bit of a learning curve and many WikiTreers who are happy to help you navigate the process.

Feel free to ask questions any time, and I am here to help if you need it.

Take care, Sheryl
