Mary was born about 1772. She was baptized at St. Peter & St. Paul in Shorne, Kent, England on February 4, 1772.[1]
Stephen Cannon and Mary Reed (the daughter of John Reed, a yeoman) were married at Saint Clement Danes Church in Westminster on September 2, 1796. They had nine children.[2]
She passed away in 1837. Mary Reed is buried in Shorne between her husband Stephen Cannon and her father John Reed.[3][4]
(There are trees that name Mary Beebee as Stephen's wife. While there was indeed a Stephen Cannon who married a Mary Beebee, this is the wrong Stephen. That family lived in Surrey. Furthermore, in John Reed's will, it specifically lists Stephen Cannon as his son-in-law.)[5][6]
