Biography
Andrew was born in 1824 to Griffith E. and Olive "Oli" Reed. He is listed with his widowed father on the 1850 Census[1] and both of his parents are listed on his marriage record to Mary "Polly" Otey in August of 1855:

Andrew Reed is listed with his wife on the 1860 Census,[4] the 1870 Census,[5] and the 1880 Census[6] in Floyd, Virginia. His wife passed away in 1889 and he is listed as widowed on both: the 1900 Census[7] and the 1910 Census.[8] He passed away in 1910 at the age of 86. [9] He is buried next to his wife in Akers Cemetery in Floyd County, Virginia.[10]
