Adaline Reed was born 1 Mar 1800 in Coxsackie, Greene County, New York. She was the daughter of Roswell Reed and Sarah Reed.^[1]

Adeline Reed and Herman Cuyler Adams were married 30 Sep 1820.^[2]

She was named in her father's 1839 will.^[3]

She was living in New York City in 1845.^[4]

In 1850 she was living in Esopus, Ulster, New York.^[5] The household included Herman C Adams age 52 born in New York, Adaline Adams age 50 born in New York, Hermon Adams age 22 born in New York, Sarah C Adams age 19 born in New York, Adaline K Adams age 17 born in New York, John G Adams age 14 born in New York, Catharine Strahan age 19 born in Ireland, Eliza Strahan age 17 born in Ireland and John Harvey age 22 born in Ireland. Herman was a farmer. John was a laborer.
