↑ Gail Hamil and Viola Reed, Reed Family History (N.p.: n.p., 1985), 33; Thomas Reed married Nancy Pyles first. There is little information where they may have lived. In those days many farms had a small house for the hired help or the renter. It is posssible he may have been a renter or farm hand on the William Douglass farm and lived in the little log cabin at the intersection of what is now SR #147 and Township Road #180 in Beaver Township. The little cabin stood on the east side of the roadway between the road and the creek. To the east of the cabin on the bank at the south of the woods was a family or private burial ground. There it is that Thomas Reed's first wife Nancy and their infant child are buried. The grave stones have been removed the land plowed. This land is now owned by Robert D and Betty Dollison Warner and occupied by their son Jon and his wife Jane Flood Warner and family. Jon is a descendant of the John Reed line and Jane is a descendant of the James Reed line. Names of others buried in the this plot are unknown.
