Viola Elizabeth Pierce

Born: November 22, 1925

Died: February 10, 2015

Viola Elizabeth Reedy Pierce age 89, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, VA.

Viola was born in Grassy Creek, NC {VA} and lost her parents at a very early age. She was raised by her Grandfather & Grandmother, Troy Reedy & Druce Walton {Shelton} Reedy, near Troutdale, VA. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers Edison Reedy and Ira Reedy and sisters Ainna Willard and Edith Taylor. She retired from Southwestern State Hospital in Marion, and had worked at Harwood, Rural Retreat Garment and the defense plant in Radford. Viola enjoyed her cats and her flowers. She attended South Fork Baptist Church.

Husband of 68 years: Paul Dotson Pierce, Marion, VA {NOTE: Paul is likely the brother of Fannie Pierce, wife of IRA REEDY}

Three Sons: Wesley Dotson Pierce, Marion, VA Joseph Paul Pierce and wife Margaret, Bowling Green, KY Charles Douglas Pierce, Marion, VA

1 Grandchild, 1 deceased: Christina Lynn Pierce

Interment in the Rose Lawn Cemetery.
