Edith Maria Rees was the daughter of George Rees 1872 of St Brides and his wife Mary Evans 1868 of Herbranston. Edith was enrolled at Broad Haven school in 1910, her date of birth is given as 6th October 1904. It also goes on to note that prior to that Edith attended Woodstock National Voluntary School in Ambleston, North Pembs. It also goes on to note that Edith left Broad Haven school 7th October 1912, because the family moved.

The 1911 census for Haroldston West parish, has Edith living at home with her parents, and siblings. Her siblings at the family home are Tom (b 1898) Willie (b 1900) Sidney (b 1907) and young Howard (b 1911)

Edith M Rees married Benjamin J Howells in 1926. The marriage is recorded in the Haverfordwest District of Pembrokeshire

The 1939 Registration has Edith and Benjamin living at Pennffordd Penycwm which at the time is recoded as Haverfordwest R D Pembrokeshire. This address is located in the old parish of St Elvis. It is located between Penycwm and Solva. With Edith and Benjamin is their daughter Mary E A Howells (b 1826). There is possibly one other child at that address, but its details are blanked out due to privacy.
