William Phillip Reese was born on 11 Apr 1905 in Lynchburg, Moore, Tennessee, USA as the first child of Benjamin Reese Emmaline Green. He had five siblings. He died on 14 Mar 1954 in Columbus, Franklin, Ohio, USA.

When he was 22, he married Elizabeth Leona Reese on 23 Feb 1928 in Lincoln, Tennessee, USA.[1]
