Research Notes

The birthdate reported on the death certificate has been proven to be incorrect. The 1880 census shows Jacob Rees, Jr. was enumerated as the 3 months old son of Emily and Jacob Rees. He was reported to be born in Mar 1880. The social security death index has his birthdate listed as Apr 30 1891, which is also incorrect.

Per Gwendolyn (Reese) Lynch, Jake was 99 years old when he died. (3-22-03). The age at death has been reported to be 96 years old per the death certificate. Date of birth on the death certificate also conflicts with the date of birth listed with his social security number.

If possible, confirm which birth date is correct, Mar 1880, Jan 1888, 4-30-1891 or 4-30-1887. Copy of death certificate on file. For now I will use the
