Biography

Sarah was born in 1829 in Tennessee. Sarah married Giles H. Payne sometime prior to the birth of their eldest known child, daughter Mary born about 1844. ^[1] In 1850 Sarah and her family are enumerated on the federal census in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. ^[2]

Research Notes

May be mere coincidence but in 1850, Sarah is enumerated on the federal census next to William Reece and his wife Elizabeth Unknown. William and his family are all born in South Carolina while the present Sarah is born in Tennessee.
