[Philadelphia Wills, Book 90, pg. 545, No. 757] Anne R. Hallowell, widow of Caleb S. Hallowell of Philadelphia written: 13 Jun 1876; proved 5 and 12 Oct 1877 1) wants all bills paid 2) gives all books, waring apparel and articles of every kind equally to children 3) directs executor to sell all stocks and bonds and to pay into Fidelity Trust and Safe Deposit Company the sum of $40,000, from which the annual interest of $20,000 principal is to be paid to her son Charles of Colorado Springs, Colorado and to his widow and children when he dies until the youngest child reaches 21 years of age, then to their children equally per stripe and not per capita unless there are no children in which case to be paid to her daughter Elizabeth if living or to her children, and if not to be handled as in paragraph (5) below 4) the other $20,000 from the above to be given primarily to her daughter Elizabeth and children with her son Charles and children as alternates 5) if Charles and Elizabeth or their children are not living, then the interest on the entire $40,000 is to be paid equally to her brothers and sisters (or their children) on a one part-per-sibling basis 6) her mortgage and bond on the house and lot in Colorado Springs to her son Charles 7) $3,000 to daughter Elizabeth 8) $3,000 to son Charles 9) remainder divided equally between Elizabeth and Charles 10) names Benjamin H. Shoemaker of Philadelphia as guardian to Elizabeth during her minority 11) names her brother Charles Reese and sister Susan H. Reese to care for her daughter Elizabeth 12) directs executor to destroy all bills or records of indebtedness by her son Charles to her and to not consider them when dividing assets 13) appoints her brother Gerard H. Reese of Baltimore and Benjamin H. Shoemaker of Philadelphia as executors witnesses: Charles Reese, Thos. L. Reese, Percy M. Reese died: 12 Aug 1877 at noon
