Hilda was born at Slip Hill, Hastingleigh, Kent on 7th December 1900.^[1] She was the daughter of Henry Reeve, a Farm Waggoner and his wife Lucy Wood,

Hilda married on 19th December 1925 at The Parish Church, Boughton Allup, in Kent.^[2] to William Thomas Charman 26 a Bachelor Able Seaman, Royal Navy, stationed on H.M.S Ark Royal, docked at Sheerness in Kent. father William Charman and Hilda Gertrude Reeve 25 a spinster of White Hill, Boughton Allup, father Henry James Reeve a Farm Labourer, after banns. In the precence of Nellie May Field and her husband Archibold, brides Sister.

Hilda died on 15th June 1973 at Ile of Thaney District Hospital, Margate, Kent.^[3]She was the widow of William Thomas Charman of 54 Hastings Avenue, Margate.
