Lilian was born in 1885[1] in Brigstock, Northamptonshire, England, where she lived with her parents, William Reeve and Mary Abbott, in 1901.[2]
In 1910 Lilian married Thomas William Shiells in Brigstock,[3][4] where they lived with their baby daughter, Phyllis, in 1911.[5]
