Thomas was born in Clay Coton, Northamptonshire and baptised there on 9 June 1782 [1]. He was the son of John and Hannah Reeve.
With his wife Ann he had three children: Prudence, Ann and William, who were all born in Northamptonshire. Sometime after 1800 the family moved to Leicestershire and farmed to the south of the Saddington to Bruntingthorpe road in Shearsby.
He passed away and was buried in Shearsby on 18 April 1805[2].
In his will, proved in October 1805, he passed £400 each to daughters Ann and Prudence, to be paid after the death of his wife Ann. Two plots of land: Church Hill Close and Bale Meadow were mentioned. His son William was to inherit the farm [3].
