Biography
Dicey Reeves died young.
Dicey was born in about 1857. She was the daughter of Andrew Reeves and Margaret Smith.
Dicey's family moved to the Eastern Subdivision of Blount County, Alabama, by 1860. Her father was a farmer, with real estate worth $150 and personal estate worth $200.[1] Dicey's father was one of the many men who enlisted during the American Civil War, serving in the 12th Alabama Infantry Regiment. He was shot through his left leg in 1864,[2] rendering him unable to work. Dicey's father presumably died shortly after, as he no longer appears in any subsequent census records.
Dicey herself also had died young, as she does not appear in the 1870 census.
