William "Rieves" of Granville County in the Province of North Carolina set his hand and seal to his Last Will and Testament on the 2nd day of August 1751, making a bequest to his son "Benjamen" Reeves for one shilling Sterling.[1] The will shows his mark as "W" set to the name spelled Rieves.
If Benjamin Rieves was a resident of Granville County in 1751, he had moved from the county before the 1755 tax list was taken.[2]
