Mary was born about 1801. She was the daughter of Joel Reeves and Nancy Goggans. She passed away about 1875.

Mary Reeves Heard was originally buried in the Hawkins Family Cemetery. Mary's daughter, Henrietta Heard Daugherty Hawkins, was married to J. S. Hawkins; so when Mary died, she was buried in her son-in-law's family cemetery.[2]
