On the 1850 Census, Isom & Patience were in Surry County (soon to be Yadkin) with nine children at home and a 22 year old blacksmith named John Hutson.[5]
On the 1860 Census, Isom & Patience were in Yadkin County with 5 children, a grandson (aged 1), and a "domestic worker", aged 16, named Sarah M. Sizemore.[6] Living nearby were Robert & Anna Mackie with their family and a John Sizemore, aged 86, presumably Isom's father.
On the 1880 Census, Isom & Patience were enumerated with their grandson, Jeremiah C. Sizemore and granddaughter, Nancy E. Sizemore. They were living next to Alvis & Sylvia Sizemore.[7]
Patience died 20 Nov 1897, at the age of 89. She is buried at the Deep Creek Friends Cemetery in Yadkin County, North Carolina.[8]

(Sorry, I couldn't resist because that is the name of the huge volume of research on the McCraw family published by Carole McCraw.)
I have no doubt at all that the wife of Isom Sizemore was Patience Reece, spelled Reece. The multiple death records are suffient proof for me, but I originally created those profiles from paper records I acquired via my mom from her Uncle Zeno who did a lot of research on our family in Surry/Yadkin. He was a life-long member of the Deep Creek Friends Meeting where Isom & Patience are buried and I expect he had access to church records. I don't have time today to pull out the boxes to look for documentation, but I'll put it on the back burner.
I am descended from two of the children of Abraham Reece, also a member of the Deep Creek Friends, who was Patience's grandfather, and the spelling on the church records is conformed to "Reece" from Reese and Reace, so Reece is what's been chosen to keep. I'm pretty confident on this line.
I checked the probate records for Abraham Reece on family search and Isom Sizemore is there, if that gives you more confidence. It doesn't prove marriage but it does indicate proximity! ;)
Thanks for picking up on the details to make WikiTree better and better!
SO sorry about the last name. Sheesh. As someone whose (first) name is frequently misread, I should know better.
Sam, the profile manager of Patience Reeves-7752, indicates his spelling comes from a researcher who shared their research at a 2018 (?) Sizemore family reunion.
So the more reliable evidence we can post that names her Reece or Reese, the better. (Yes, I saw two death records of her children.) Then we can complete that merge that is currently in "unmerged match" status.
It would be great to find the Society of Friends marriage record for Isom and Patience.
Jilliane, No Record Of Marriage Of Patience Reeves ( Sometimes Spelled Reese & Other Last Names that Variate The Spelling ) , so I really don't know !!! Sam Campbell
I see that there is an unmerged match with a different Patience as wife-- Patience Reeves [corrected].
I bet there was only one wife named Patience, so it would be great to find a reliable source that names her maiden name Iand who her parents were).
I see that in a couple of records related to their children her maiden name is spelled Reese or Reece. See: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:F3CN-N22 And https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:F38N-DF5
But these are death records and the informant on the certificates may not have known
