Biography
John was born in the Dec quarter 1882 in Cookham registration district, Berkshire, mother's maiden name Clements.[1]
In the England and Wales Census of 1891 he is age 8, living in Pencoed, Glamorgan, Wales with his father Henry (age 31), a Foreman Plate Layer, mother Sarah E. (age 29), sister Agnes A. (age 9), brother William H. (age 6), daughter Ruth E. (age 3), and sister Charles E. (age 1).[2]
In the England and Wales Census of 1901 he is age 18, a Coal Miner Haulier, living in Coychurch Higher, Glamorgan, Wales with his father Henry (age 41), a Railway Platelayer, mother Sarah (age 39), and siblings.[3]
He married Margaret Hopkins in June of 1902 in Bridgend, Glamorgan, Wales.[4]
He died aged 53 in 1936 in Bridgend, Wales.[5][6]
