Research Notes

In John Leslie's lists he is 1808-1870 born at GUILDFORD. He was a brewer, first at REDHILL, Surrey then at BEXLEY, Kent. He died in 1871. In the 1851 census he is age 42 born in SHERE. There is also a Martha, aunt, age 54, i.e. 1797- born in SHERE and a William, brother-in-law, age 28 i.e. 1823- born in SHERE.

1825 John is named as the father of Sarah, the illegitimate child of Mary ALLEN.

Can anyone help? I cannot find him in the 1841 or 1861 census. I cannot find any marriage or chidren for him either and apart from Sarah being his daughter by unmarried mother Mary Allen nothing on Sarah either.
