Biography

The early years

Elizabeth was born about 1775 in Barbour County, West Virginia to Hans Jacob Reger and Barbara Crites.

It is believed the siblings are:

  • John Reger (1769-1849)
  • Elizabeth Reger (1775-1849)
  • Isaac Reger (1782-1851)

Family life

She would first marry Cottrill Talbot[1] on the 1st of Sep 1788 in Randolph, Virginia.[2]

It is believed they had 8 children,[3] - these require to be proven still

  • Mary Talbot(1779–1862)
  • Emily Talbot(1786?)–
  • Prudence Talbot(1787–?)
  • Anne Talbot(1788–?)
  • Rachel Talbot(1790–1871)
  • Barbara Talbot (1791-1831)
  • Sarah Talbot(1793–)
  • David S Talbot(1794–1865)

However I do have a copy of Cottrill's will that I will read and transcribe that may contain some of this information,

She would later marry Thomas Hall[1]l on the 20th of April 1805 in Harrison, West Virginia[4].

They would have 5 children:

  • Jacob R Hall (1807-1875)
  • Enoch Hall (1810-1859)
  • Phoebe Hall (1816-1878)
  • Phillip Hall
  • Catherine Hall

Throughout the years

In 1801 her first husband Cottrill would drown in the Buckhannon River[1].


Death

She would pass away in 1849 in Volga, Barbour, West Virginia[1]. She would be buried in the Talbot-Hall Graveyard in Volga.

Reger-136 and Reger-157 appear to represent the same person because: I didn't realize Elizabeth's last name was Reger at birth, I had thought the Tolbert was as I'd missed the first marriage when I created her. Today as I was starting to put together the full proof to enter for her caught the mistake and in looking for her mother in here see she existed.
