Biography

I am married to Suzy and have one son, William. I have worked as a Queensland Public Servant since discharging from my career as a full-time soldier on 11 March 2001. I continued my service in the standby Army Reserve and after 29 years, 20 weeks and 6 days of serving the nation in uniform I discharged from the Army at own request on 14 July 2009. In 2012, I became a registered marriage celebrant as I want to pursue that discipline in retirement. Performing weddings is the best thing I have ever done in my life to date. I am a firm believer that we should not be passengers in life but contributors and performing weddings, child naming ceremonies and funerals is one way to contribute to the small community Suzy and I will retire to in 2022. Profile on Data Doctors Project Report due to invalid data in Prefix (711-Separators in Prefix) because:

Data in Prefix field: WO1 (Rtd)

The Prefix could be formatted as “WO1 Retd” or “WO1 Retd.” no brackets, no commas, etc. Note: the Prefix field has a 10 character limit. I used Retd as abbreviation for Retired per http://www.defence.gov.au/sydneyii/FinalReport/Report/Abbreviations.pdf.

Thanks, and if you have questions ... Martha

Hi Shane,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.
