Can not find him on 1871 or 1881 censuses, he does not appear to have died between 1861 and 1871?.

Did he go overseas?.

Searched 1861 - 1871 marriages looked at those for Perth and Renfrew, not him?. 1

Where did we get a wife's name of Jean from?.

From Nell McCarrison, most of her other information was reasonably accurate, she says he was married to Jean and had 1 son and 3 daughters, so why can't I find them, she did say his brother William went to the USA and as he died in Scotland, perhaps it was Andrew who went to USA?.
