John was born in 1874. He was the son of John Reid and Margaret Muir.
In 1880, the Reid family lived at Portage, Columbia, Wisconsin. The household included John Reid, 45, born in Scotland, as were his parents, a stock dealer; his wife Margaret, 45, born in Scotland, as were her parents; their children, all born in Wisconsin, Anna G., 18; Jessie S., 17; Harry D., 9; Maggie M., 7; and John J., 5. All the children were in school, except for the eldest one.[1]
John Reid,29, and Bertha B. Streeter, 28, were married on 1 June 1904 in Crete, Saline, Nebraska. John was born in Wisconsin, the son of John Reid and Margaret Muir. Bertha was born in Wisconsin, the daughter of G.D. Streeter and Maria Adam. [2]
He passed away in 1954, and was buried at Alhambra Cemetery, Martinez, Contra Costa County, California.[3]
