Jessie Edna was born June 13, 1921, received her education at Bardal and Sinclair, and then in Winnipeg, training as a stenographer. She worked at home, Brandon and Winnipeg, until her marriage to William Percival Hitchcock, of the Huron District near Maryfield, Saskatchewan. Percy spent five years helping his Uncle, W. 1. Hitchcock on the farm and then served in the Army overseas four years. They bought the Bert Snape farm in the Bardal District where they farmed until 1959 when they moved to Maryfield where they farmed until 1976.
HITCHCOCK—REID At a ceremony Oct. 9 at. the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reid, Virden, Man., their second daughter, Jessie Edna, became the bride of William Percival Hitchcock, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Hitchcock, Ebor, Man. Rev. A. H. Cummings, officiated. Miss Margaret Hayward was pianist. The bride wore a navy blue tailleur, with a black and white hat, and wore Sweetheart roses. Miss Bessie Reid attended her sister, and John Hitchcock of Ebor attended the bridegroom. A reception was held, after which the couple left for Brandon, on a short honeymoon trip.
