Beryl Reid OBE is Notable.

English actress

Best known for The Killing of Sister George, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Smiley's People. She also appeared in Doctor Who, Bergerac, Minder, Boon and numerous other shows. She started out in music hall, worked at the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company, and made a breakthrough in the radio show Educating Archie.

Beryl was born in 1919. She was the daughter of Scots Leonard Reid and Anne Burton Mcdonald.^[1] Beryl's birth was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1919 in the Hereford district. They were the child of Mcdonald.^[2]

Beryl married William L Worsley in Oct/Dec 1949 in London, England.^[3] They divorced in 1953.

Beryl's marriage to Derek H Franklin was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1954 in the Blackpool district.^[4][5] They divorced in 1966.

She was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 1986 Queen's New Year Honours List for her services to drama.

Beryl's death was registered in 1996 in Buckinghamshire, England.^[6][7] She was cremated and her ashes were scattered on the banks of the Thames.^[8]
