Biography

Charles Reid was born around 1880. He married Clara May George in 1905 ^[1] After she passed away in 1910 he married 2nd Amy Clara Lyford in 1912. ^[2]

FIRE AT RONGOTEA. A small cottage at Rongotea, owned by Mr W Hopping and occupied by Mr Charles Reid, was destroyed by fire on Monday night. Mr Reid and family were about to shift to Palmerston, and had the furniture packed for that purpose. While they were at a neighbour's house the fire took place, both house and furniture were insured ^[3]
