1861 Census, Chipman is age 35.^[1] married with 2 daughters ~only! as in this Image-[3] of the 1861 Census "v's" the reason why George Moody Reid isn't listed with Chipman Reid as his son is because George is indicated as John Abner Reed/Reid Esq.'s son! as illustrated in this Image-[4] of the 1861 Census. ? possibly the 1871 Census will sort this out .

1871 Census, Chipman (recor'd as Chapman) is age 45.^[2]married to Susan with 2 daughters only. Grace age 15 & Florence age 12.
