Adelaide Reid was born in Mount Carmel, Kane, Utah to John Whirk Reid(1831 – 1910) and Agnes Western(1841 – 1920). She was the 9th of 10 children. She married Juluis Rodolf Thompson(1877 – 1944) 20 March 1899. They had 7 children; Eva A Thompson (1899-1984), Reid Julius Thompson (1901-1965), Agnes Cora Thompson (1903-1979), Earl Melvin Thompson (1905-1998), Orville G Thompson (1909-2005), Dean J Thompson (1917-1993) and Madge Ada Thompson (1918-2000). She passed in 1962 and was buried in Eureka, Juab County, Utah.
