Biography

At the time of the 1920 US Census, head of household Jacob Hieb (age 52, born in Russia) was working as a Farmer and living in Valley Spring, Stutsman, North Dakota, United States with his wife, Christina Hieb (age 51, born in Russia) and their four sons and one daughter: son Jacob Heib (age 24, born in North Dakota), daughter Lea Heib (age 20, born in North Dakota), son Samuel Heib (age 16, born in North Dakota), son Benjamin Heib (age 14, born in North Dakota) and son Theofel Heib (age 12, born in North Dakota). Both Jacob Hieb and his wife Christina indicated all of their parents had been born in Russia, and spoke German; Jacob and his wife Christina also indicated that they were naturalized American citizens in 1890.
