Residence in Waldbockelheim (41/2 km nw of Niederhausen).

Spring 1709: Johannes with wife, children and brother left their home in Germany and went by boat or raft down the Rhine River to Rotterdam (Amsterdam), Holland. It should be noted that from 1707-1709 there were wars and many hardships in the Palatine area of Germany.

Fall 1709: Johannes, family and brother travelled to England from Rotterdam on Captain Johann Ranneld's ship in the third party of Palatines in Holland (Rotterdam Lists). Johannes, wife and two children were recorded in the arrivals in England later that year, Johannes as a husbandman and vinedresser (London Lists).

Jan-Feb 1710: Johannes, family and brother left London, England, in one of ten ships with 3000 Palatines on board, headed for America. It was a six month trip at sea in small ships packed with many people. It was a hazardous jouney with unsanitary conditions, malnutrituion, illness, and one ship lost at sea. Approximately 1000 Palatines died enroute, including Johannes' wife, two children, and brother.

July 1710: Johannes, the sole survivor of the family, arrived in what is now New York Harbor, and was quarantined on Nutten Island (now Governor's Island). He makes his first appearance on the Hunter Lists 4 July 1710 as a single man.

Fall 1710: Johannes was moved with about 1500 of the Palatine survivors to Upstate New York along the Hudson River. At a site near Rhinebeck, New York, known as East Camp, they began building shelters for themselves for the upcoming winter.

1711: Johannes Reisdorph (Zaysdorf) of Queensbury was a soldier in "Palatine Volunteers to Canada."

1715, 8/9 Sept: Naturalized at Kingston.
