Biography

Sophia Jacomina Reitsma, born 25 July 1913[1] in Soerabaja, Nederlands Oost-Indië, daughter of Steven Anne Reitsma and Maria Elisabeth Brutel de la Rivière.

Sophia Jacomina Reitsma married 18 March 1948 in Amsterdam with Jospeh Suijs[2]. She was a teacher at the lyceum[3]

Sophia Jacomina Reitsma was the author of a book on Greek mythology: Helleense Mythos (1951) and translated a book of Boethius form Latin to Dutch: Vertroosting der wijsbegeerte. Her husband, Joseph (Jeff) Suijs was a French Language teacher and later professor of political science[4]
