Biography

Johan Georg was born February 5, 1726, at Lohrhaupten, Gelnhausen (now Flörsbachtal), where he belonged to the Lutheran Church.[1]

He landed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 14, 1751, in the ship Duke of Bedford.[1][2]

He settled Rebuck in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, and helped build Himmel's Church there.[1]

He died in 1793, at the age of 66, in Northumberland County, PA; he was buried on the Reitz Farm Cemetery.[3]
