Biography

When Catharine Remaly was born on January 11, 1794, in North Whitehall, Pennsylvania.Christening 13 Apr 1794, Neffs, Lehigh, Pennsylvania. Her father, George Remaly (1752-1827), was 41, and her mother, Maria Magdalene (Polly) Kocher (1762-1836), was 31. She married her cousin John Jacob Remely in 1810 in Heidelberg, Northampton, Pennsylvania. They had eleven children. She died on July 27, 1873, having lived a long life of 79 years, and was buried in Friedens, Pennsylvania.
