Biography

Sarah Ann was born in Somerville, Massachusetts, in 1861, the daughter of George and Mary (Fayen) Remick.[1] She grew up in Somerville, the second of 7 children.[2][3] She graduated from the Somerville High School with the class of 1881, having taken the college-prepartory course.[4]

She married Augustus Childs, son of Edward and Caroline Childs, in 1887. They settled in Newton, Massachusetts, by 1910, where Augustus was a clothing salesman.[5][6][7] They had one child, a son named William Remick Childs.

Sarah died in 1935. She is buried at the Newton Cemetery in Newton.[8]
