William Hamilton Renick was born April 19, 1792 in Augusta County, Virginia to parents Robert Renick and Mary Polly Hamilton. He married Rebecca Renick (assuming a cousin) on December 22, 1814 in Greenbrier, Virginia.  After her death, he married Ann Rogers in 1847. In 1840 William Renick was living in Greenbrier, Virginia and owned 19 slaves. He died in July 29, 1867 Lewisburg, Virginia.
