Biography

George, son of James Renick and Elizabeth Yoakum/Yokem, was born 6 Oct 1771 in Hardy County, Virginia.

About 1792: He married Mary Magdaline Reid.

George Renick. 1 male 10-15; 1 male 16-18; 1 male 16-25; 1 male 26-44; 1 male 45 and over [George age 49]; 1 female under 10; 1 female 45 and over [Mary Magdalin] Slaves: 2 males under 14; 2 males 14-25; 2 females under 14; 2 females 14-25; Total of 8 slaves. Listed next to Thomas Morrow and Abraham Starr.

1830 census: Clark County, Kentucky. George Rennicks. 2 males 20-29; 1 male 30-39; 1 male 50-59 [George age 59]; 1 female 15-19; 1 female 50-59 [Mary Magdalin age 58]. Slaves: 4 males under 10; 2 males 10-23; 1 male 24-35; 2 females under 10; 1 female 10-23; 2 females 24-35; Total of 12 slaves.

He passed away February 21 1839 and is buried in the Renick Graveyard, Clark County, Kentucky.
