Biography

Tillman claims on page 21 that William was son of James by his second wife Frances Thorpe, then on page 23, by his first wife, Eliza Beazly; that he died in 1762; that he married Elizabeth Ann Miller who d. 1774, daughter of Major Simon Miller ; that they settled in Essex Co., Virginia and then in Louisa Co., Virginia; and had issue:

• Milley, who m 1792 Richard Bragg;
• Judy, who m 1799 Solomon Hicks
