Biography

US Black Heritage Project
Flora Renty is a part of US Black heritage.

Flora was born before 1841. She is the daughter of Lafayette Renty and Harriet Renty. [1] She was a slave on the Chemonie Plantation in Leon County, Florida, in 1841, when owned by George Noble Jones.

Renty may have been the surname of a previous enslaver of her father, Lafayette. It is the surname he used in 1841.[2] According to the naming conventions for the USBH Project on Wikitree, Renty was used as Flora's LNAB also, and Jones as other last name.

Lafayette Renty was the head of a family grouping, with Harriet (presumably his wife), and children: Flora, Dick, Brave Boy and an infant.
