Believe, after some checking, he died in 1056 his wife Judith Yvette was 988 - 1057, l just cannot link Mathilde with him at all, totally confused by her inclusion, thus Hugues II does not belong here. Mathilde was married to Manasses IV Vitre 1140 - 1198 son of Eudes Vitre and Matilde Rethel ( daughter of Hugues I ).

Hugues II Rethel-23 shows as born in 1165, so Manasses Rethel-15 would have had to be 175 years old when Hughues was born. This doesn't agree with average ages of the time, and even Manasses' listed death in 1081 makes him 91 years old, above average. Since there is also Hugues I Rethel-16 shown as Manasses' son I think Hugues Rethel-23 is not his son.
