Biography

Friend Revell died in Farnworth on 24 September 1918. He left a Will and a sum of £255 , 1 shilling and 1 penny to his wife Mary Jane Revell. Administration (with Will) granted to the wife on 24 February 2012. To put things into context £255 would have been a lot of money in those days. He is on the 1901 census living in Farnworth, in Brackley Street. He is also on the 1891 census at the same address, and in both the occupation listed is Tripe Dresser. 1881 census resident in 67 Walmsley Street, Ashton Under Lyne, Dukinfield . He is described as out of employment on that census but had already married Mary. 1871 census he is Stalybridge with siblings and parents John and Emma. John Revell is described as having been born in Upper Denby, Yorkshire. Friend Revell is on 1861 census in Ashton Under Lyne and his father is a Railway Porter.
