In 1672 he became Landraad in Schleswig and Holstein. In the massive negotiations on the acquisition of Counties Oldenborg and Delmenhorst 1667-73, Reventlow played a prominent role. In the early summer of 1677, when Reventlow lay in Garnison in the Duchesses, he was ordered to come to the army in the shawl, but hardly managed to get enough time to take part in the siege and storm on Malmö. Reventlow died on July 21, 1708 at Clausholm and, with his 2 Wives, is buried in magnificent, sarcophagus sarcophagi in Schleswig Cathedral.
