Biography

George was born 25 Feb 1797^[1][2]" in Germantown Township, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States^[1].

He was the son of Levi Rex^[1] and Catharina (Riter) Rex.^[3][4] .

He married Mary Cress^[5] at St. Michaels Church in Germantown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 10 Oct 1827. ^[6] Together they had 4 children: Anna M Rex (1831), Emily Rex (1833), Susan Rex (1835), Mary Rex (1836), ^{[2] [5]}. George had four additional children by his second marriage to Anne Whiteside Rubicam, two of whom died young, surviving were: Sarah (1841) and George (1843).^[2][5]

George Rex passed away on 18 Dec 1859 in Germantown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. ^[3]
