Hi Kevin- 7th cousin here - i believe we share auDNA from Bethia Sears-28 (1662-1724) even though she is my 6th(twice) and 7th grt-grandmother I have a great deal of pedigree collapse in this line (she is 4th-grt-grandparent to both of my paternal grt-grandparents) and probably makes up 1% of my DNA.

At GEDMATCH when i do a one to one comparison with SNP min segment size >5 cM (instead of the usual 7 cM) we have a significant DNA match on Chromosome 17 5.9 cM - 441 snips - for now i have painted these SNPs on my DNAPainter and tied them to Bethia using you as my verification since we are 7th cousins- i realize a little bit of a reach for auDNA but i think it is possible because of pedigree collapse making Bethia appear "closer" to me than just a 6th great-grandma- more like a 4th or 5th great-grandma

B37 Start Pos'n B37 End Pos'n Centimorgans (cM) SNPs 74,383,475 76,262,244 5.9 441

Reynolds-13227 and Reynolds-10194 appear to represent the same person because: Hi Kevin, this is a duplicate of you. Once the merges have gone thru I will remove myself from thoses profiles. Azra
Hi Kevin,

A warm welcome to WikiTree. You are now a full member and can add your family to the big tree!

Click here to start with our New Member How-To Pages. They will save you time, energy and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Hope you enjoy WikiTree as much as I have. You never know when you will find a lost family member or ancestor. Or maybe find a hidden family secret about an ancestor. Genealogy to me is like being a detective looking for clues into the past.

Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile as the links will work from there.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm always happy to help!
