Edward Joseph Reynolds enlisted on 10 January 1916 and served with the Australian Army, A.I.F. 16th Australian Infantry Battalion during World War One. His Unit embarked from Fremantle, Western Australia, on board HMAT A9 Shropshire on 31 March 1916. Edward was sent to France. On 30 August 1916 Edward suffered a bomb wound to his left arm. He was sent to England to recuperate. On 21 December 1916 he returned to France and rejoined his Unit on 02 January 1917. On 11 April 1917 Edward was reported missing in action. This was then changed to killed in action.
Edward Joseph Reynolds was killed in action on 11 April 1917 at Somme, France.
