Biography
The son of James Reynolds (1789-1853) and Mary "Polly" Durand (1794-1880), James Reynolds was born in Elizabethtown Township, New York[citation needed] in 1831. He migrated west with his family, taking up residence in Monroe County, Michigan, marrying Sarah (Eddy) Reynolds, the daughter of James Arnold and Sarah Jane Eddy, having seven known children together:

Estelle Maria Reynolds (1864-1936)
James Madison Reynolds (1867-1933)
Anna L. Reynolds (1869-1924)
Arthur Clifton Reynolds (1869-1922)
Edward Franklin Reynolds (1872-1944)
William Dean Reynolds (1877-1951)
They made their home in Monroe Township, Michigan, where James worked as a carriage maker.[1][2] By 1880, James and his family lived in LaSalle Township, Michigan, where James continued his work as a wagon maker.[3]
James Reynolds passed away in LaSalle Township, Michigan[4] at the age of 65 and is buried at LaSalle Township Cemetery.[5]
