Biography

Edwin Knabb Rhoads was founder and senior partner of Rhoads & Company, institutional textiles. He was a member of the Amityville Historical Society and a founding member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church (30th & Diamond Sts) in Philadelphia. Edwin died in his Merion home at the age of 81.

Wife Emma & Edwin Knabb were actually 3rd generation cousins, descended from brothers Daniel Rhoads (1752-1825) and Samuel H Rhoads (1748-1822), sons of John Jacob Roth/Rhoads (1711-1798).
